The place is very large, open, and its buffet has a wide selection ranging from sushi, traditional Chinese food (General Tso, etc), American (pizza, chicken nuggets,) soups, salads, and desserts. Our party arrived at approximately 2:30, after the lunch crowd, so the place was practically empty, but the food was hot and fresh.

So delicious! It was a little difficult to find from the road, but parking was easy. We were looking for a good Chinese buffet to try out a bunch of different dishes and experiment with new foods. The coconut shrimp, general tsos, and baked crab were especially tasty. All of the food was fresh and wasn't sitting out for too long. There was also a variety of simple foods for picky kiddos. The price per person for dinner buffet was only $13.99, which was well worth the money. This definitely became a permanent restaurant on our list!

The Royal Buffet is simply the most amazing Chinese buffet that I have discovered thus far, anywhere! They offer so many choices that you'll easily be able to find your favorite items, as well as have ample opportunities to discover new dishes that you've not tried before. But the thing that surprised me the most was that sushi and other high-end items are offered on the lunch buffet. There's a selection of non-chinese foods (pizza, chicken nuggets, mac & cheese, etc.) for the kids and those that may not care for Chinese foods in your party as well. Everything I tried was delicious and if I lived in the Harrisburg, PA area, I'd be visiting the Royal Buffet several times a week!

until I went to this restaurant, my favorite buffet was in Williamsburg Virginia. The Royal buffet has officially taken top spot and I have never seen a lunch buffet that had so many items and the food was so good! This is the place to stop if you are in the mood for a buffet that has high quality food that is tasty! I am going to be back at this place every time I visit Hershey. It is a must try. 2020-11-15 another fantastic day at the buffet and the food as always was excellent and always new things to try. The only thing I suggest you bypass is the pizza, but everything else was great. I know I know why I tried the pizza, it's there for the kids. Sometimes I have found pizza that tasted fantastic on a buffet and I just wondered...

I dined at Royal Buffet on Christmas Eve for lunch with my family. Seven people total. Staff quickly accommodated us by putting tables together. They were good with refills of drinks and clearing used plates. They were polite and friendly. I gave 4 stars because food was definitely not hot; was between lukewarm to cold. I arrived at 2:30. Lunch ends at 3pm for reference. Major dissatisfaction. I was there once before about a year ago with same issue. Chinese buffet are getting harder to find especially on Christmas Eve. So I did appreciate it. If you go I strongly recommended getting there close to open to insure nice hot food. Food was still good just could have been better hot.
